Home is where your dog is and thankfully one thing Salt Lake City does not have a shortage of is dog friendly housing. A quick search of Google or any popular apartment site brings up many dog friendly properties- and they sometimes have small dog parks on site!
However many apartment complexes restrict breeds like pitbulls, dobermans, and rottweilers, so this article has two sections, one for housing options with breed restrictions and one for places without breed restrictions.
In 2015, the Utah State Legislature enacted a law that prohibited cities and municipalities from making breed specific ordinances, however that doesn’t mean privately owned housing cannot discriminate against them.
Keep in mind that you are the best judge of the most ideal living situation for you and your pet. Make sure to do your due diligence in researching the pros and cons before making a decision about where to call home.
