One of the most dreaded jobs of being a dog owner is nail trimming. It can be stressful for a lot of dogs which makes it stressful for owners. We’re here to help! We’ve compiled a list of some of the best places in Salt Lake City that offer nail trimming as a stand-alone service.

Pro tip, most vets offer nail trims, check with yours to see if you can kill two birds with one stone at your next appointment.

But we know your pooch probably needs a nail trim more than your typical once-yearly vet appointment, so we found some of the best places in and around Salt Lake City to get the job done.

If you’re committed to doing the trim yourself at home, there are a few things that can make it easier.

If your dog gets a little anxious about getting a nail trim, bring some treats along to reward calm behavior and make sure they have a positive association with the experience.

Anywhere you plan to get your dog’s nails trimmed will require that your dog be up to date on vaccinations, especially rabies. If you are going somewhere for the first time, make sure to bring paper proof of your dog’s vaccine history, just the metal tag won’t cut it at most places.
