Spring Scurry 5K Pack Walk

Hosted by Training to a T, the 2026 Spring Scurry Troop Trek 5K invites dog owners to gather at Crestwood Park in Cottonwood Heights on April 25, 2026 at 1PM for a fun, non-competitive pack walk inspired by the American Kennel Club’s annual FIT DOG Spring Scurry.

Participants will walk or run the 3.1-mile course along the back trails of Crestwood Park, earning an official Spring Scurry medal to proudly show off in photos and videos. This event follows the format of the AKC FIT DOG Spring Scurry, a virtual 5K designed to be completed all at once or in smaller segments, making it accessible for people and dogs of all fitness levels.

The in-person Troop Trek option is $40 per medal per dog, which includes the group pack walk and medal; those with multiple dogs should adjust their registration accordingly. A portion of each registration supports AKC Juniors programs through the AKC, while the remaining funds are used by Training to a T to support local animals through initiatives such as sponsoring adoptions, providing free training, and donating to shelter pups.

For those who prefer to participate independently, a virtual option is also available, allowing participants to complete their 5K anywhere they and their dogs are welcome, on their own schedule, while still earning their medal.
